Sorry I’m a few days late posting this month’s book club suggestion. July got ahead of me!
Suzanne Gordon is an incredible non-fiction author. Not only does she write beautifully, but her work has helped shed light on the experiences of nurses everywhere. She has written about our profession with the utmost respect, and helped increase the visibility of what we actually do. Important stuff.
This month we’ll be reading Gordon’s book Life Support: Three Nurses on the Front Lines. This book has been sitting on my shelf for months, yelling at me to read it. Since it features the experiences of both nurse practitioners and oncology nurses, I figured it was about time to listen.
Discussion questions will go up mid-month. In the meantime, happy reading!
