Wrapping It Up

I have a week to go in my current job. A week consisting of documenting, dotting my i’s and crossing my t’s, following up with nursing and multidisciplinary teammates about clients who will remain open to our team. A transition from one nurse to another, preparing my co-workers for the adjustment in personalities and work styles.

It’s a an odd balance of finding closure wherever I can, and still being available for crisis situations (with the knowledge by all of us that in seven days, I won’t be around to help put out the fires).

It’s an odd scattering of celebrations and tears, as August marks vacation time for many of my closest teammates and I’ve had to stagger the goodbye hugs over several weeks.

I didn’t realize it would be so hard to leave.
