A Time of Thanks

Today S and I are headed to Thanksgiving dinner at a co-worker’s house. She has invited all of us “orphans” who are far from family this year. With my relatives 3,000 miles away, her hospitality is much appreciated.

Which brings me to my note of gratitude for 2012. This year I am ever so thankful for kind and generous colleagues who have opened up their hearts and minds to me, and made my transition back to inpatient nursing more amazing than I could have imagined. My floor is full of good people.

Hope you are enjoying some turkey and stuffing right now. And to those of you working this Thanksgiving, THANK YOU!
