Cue Darth Vader Theme

The big day is tomorrow at 1400 PST.

Given the fact that Nurse Teeny has been sick for the past week (and is still sniffling), she spent the day reviewing content areas where she is weakest, one last time. This flies in the face of most advice offered by test prep books, who say to give yourself a mental health day on “NCLEX Eve”. But I needed to remind my brain that I am in fact ready, after being under a Nyquil-induced haze since Christmas.

I just have to keep telling myself I’m not going to remember everything, nor do I need to.

I’ll post first impressions tomorrow when I get home, followed by a reflection on lessons learned from this whole process.

In the meantime, here is a nursing self-diagnosis, brought to you by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing:

Anxiety related to impending NCLEX-RN, as evidenced by loss of appetite, increased heart rate, abdominal pain, loss of focus, clammy palms, and self-reported sense of feeling unprepared for the biggest exam of one’s life.

Oh dear.
